2025 Pelham Science Research Symposium
Senior Symposium
“It's All About Family”
The science research Senior Symposium experienced tremendous success by displaying several months to several years of student efforts working on projects after their internships. The event gathered more than 400 attendees including 9th through 12th grade students alongside their parents who wanted to see emerging research discoveries. A range of groundbreaking medical studies joined innovative environmental solutions to create an engaging symposium where students shared presentations along with thought-provoking discussions at diverse posters. Meeting attendees shared an energized atmosphere while checking out the projects followed by asking questions and honoring the impressive research accomplishments of their classmates, family, and friends. We would like to thank everyone that came out to make the event the success it was. A special thanks to amplify for sponsoring all the food for the event.
Christopher Mikalitch: “ it was great to tell people about new research regarding paleontology ”
Jake Fellner: “ I had a great time presenting my groundbreaking research that I spent 300+ hours on just this summer.”
Madeleine Pachella: “Being able to share my research with younger students was truly an honor- my goal was to make them feel more comfortable in the research process and more confident in their abilities as scientists. When I was an underclassman I was so scared to start working in a real lab- but I hope by sharing my experience and speaking with them after that I was able to show them that they can achieve anything they want to.”
Judy Brandler: “ The Senior Symposium was a great way to bring together the research program and to celebrate the work of every senior. This is an event we had to attend all the way from freshman year up to senior year and it is so rewarding to finally be able to present.”
